"gfinger" is a version of the UNIX "finger" program that lists information 
about user(s) on a computer.  The computer that is queried must run a finger 
server daemon.  The EECS Instructional UNIX computers use the GNU finger 
server, which has a specific set of options.

"gfinger" command options:

  If you type a command such as "gfinger jdoe@cochise.cs" you get a response 
  that includes a search of all the workstations in the "cochise" cluster.  
  It will tell you which worksatation "jdoe" is logged into.  You can use 
  our WEB-based "clients" utility (http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/clients)
  to locate that computer.

  Here are some options to the "finger" command:

  % gfinger .local@cory 	- list users on the server computer itself
  % gfinger .free@cory		- list workstations that have nobody logged in
  % gfinger .help@cory		- list all the other options

  Usage:
        gfinger [options] name ...

  options:
        -l      long listings (default for outside requests)
        -info   long listings (GNU finger only)
        -face   request face bitmap (GNU finger only)

  special names:
        .all            list all logins
        .local          list all local logins
        .help           print this message
        .site           print site information
        .users          list all users
        .free           list free machines
        .clients        list all clients
