  Here are some places to look for information:

  - other Instructional help commands:
    "clients" - about our computers, printers, labs and cardkey access
    "software" - about available programs and appropriate PATH settings

  - text files in /share/b/pub:
    describe facilities, application programs, use of modems, etc;
    sample UNIX commands: "ls /share/b/pub", "more /share/b/pub/dialups"

  - UNIX "man" on-line manual pages:
    describe UNIX commands; examples: "man man", "man -k editor"

  - "EECS Instructional User's Guide to UNIX":
    The User's Guide is a useful general reference that focuses on our 
    specific environment.  It is available at Copy Central on Euclid Ave, 
    Berkeley for about $9.

  - bulletin boards and lab entrances:
    The main Instructional bulletin boards are by the first floor elevator
    in Cory Hall and in the hallway of the second floor in Soda Hall.
    Important notices are posted by the doors and in the Instructional
    labs in Cory and Soda Halls.  
    
  - login messages:
    The sys admins post current information about accounts, problems and 
    downtime in a file that is displayed as you log in.  You can re-read 
    that file later using the command "more /etc/motd".

  - Usenet newsgroups:
    Usenet is a distributed bulletin board, with a newsgroup for each class 
    as well as thousands of other newsgroups; type "more /share/b/pub/news.help"
    for more info.

  - gopher:
    The "gopher" command connects to a central departmental server and
    provides information about many departmental and campus facilities
    and organizations.  This information is in text format only.

  - WWW:
    Use a Web browser (netscape, Internet Explorer, Mosaic or lynx) to
connect to the Instructional server http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu

  - help via email:
    If you have been unable to find the answer you need after some effort
    of your own, please send the question to the system administrators:
