PERL on the Instructional UNIX Systems
--------------------------------------
  Perl is available on the Instructional UNIX Systems in

	/usr/sww/bin/perl	

  which is a link to the current version (type "perl -V" to display the
  version and default @INC path).   Documentation can be found with the
  command

	man perl

  See /share/b/pub/software.help for more information about the "man" command.

  (Feb 2003) Perl 5.8.0 is the default version in on the Software Warehouse,
  for Solaris 9 (X86 and Sparc)
  Perl 5.8.0 is also available.

PERL on the Instructional NT Systems
------------------------------------
  Perl is not commonly installed on the local diks of the Instructional NT 
  systems.  It is available on a shared disk, \\ntsww\newsww\perl .
