Ptolemy
-------
  Ptolemy (http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu) is an EECS research project, 
  supported by the Ptolemy group.  Ptolemy uses mixed models of computation 
  for assembling concurrent embedded systems.  It is used for a broad range 
  of applications including signal processing, telecommunications, parallel 
  processing, wireless communications, network design, radio astronomy, 
  real time systems, and hardware/software co-design.  Ptolemy is also
  used as a laboratory for signal processing and communications courses.

Ptolemy on the EECS Instructional Systems

  The current version of Ptolemy (Ptolemy II 7.0.beta) is installed for
  Instructional users on 

 	9 PCs in 125 Cory (125-1..125-9) 
  	3 Windows Remote Desktop servers (iserver1, iserver2, iserver3)

  EECS instructors can email "inst@eecs.berkeley.edu" if they need Ptolemy 
  on other computers for a class.

  Questions about Ptolemy itself can be sent to "ptolemy@ptolemy.eecs".

  Older versions of Ptolemy for UNIX are installed in /usr/eesww.  Those
  versions do not work on the Instructional computers any more.
