The test bitfile provided is a fixed video pattern generator. Patterns are output through the video encoder to both the S-Video and RCA ports and can be displayed on the LCD monitors. To test your design, connect the RCA video output of a board running this bitfile to the RCA video input of a board running your design. Settings are configured via the switches as follows: SW9: global reset SW2: draws a thin border around the image SW9: bit 1: 0 => normal operation 1 => camera bypass (does not work properly) bit 2: 0 => 487 active lines 1 => 507 active lines bits 7-3: 00000 => thin horizontal lines 00001 => thin vertical lines 00010 => color bars 00011 => static green->pink gradient 00100 => dynamic green->pink gradient 00101 => red apples (you like them apples?) 00110 => blue apples (you like them apples??) 00111 => 3-input cellular automata (0-255) xxxxx => undefined (black) bit 8: (unused) SW6: increments the cellular automaton rule displayed SW4: decrements the cellular automaton rule displayed 7-segment display: shows the current mode or operation
