Project Announcement
We've discovered that a mistake was made when we created the nachos-java
tar file. Unfortunately, development code and the code for the autograder
test cases was accidently included in the tar file. We thank the students
who came forward and let us know about this error.
We recognize that the vast majority of you will not take advantage of
our mistake. However, to remove the temptation to cheat, we have decided
to make the following changes to the project phases, and we trust that
as adults you will not cheat.
-
Phase one will now be worth 9.5%, instead of 12.5%. Each of the other three
phases will be worth an additional 1%.
-
All the project phases will be tested with new, different test cases.
-
The autograder will use MOSS to verify that code from the autograder is
not used in project solutions.
-
You will be required to turn in to your TA a signed
form stating that you did not use the autograder test cases or code
in designing or developing your solution AND that you deleted all copies
of the test cases.
Unpleasant note: If we find that your solutions have been influenced by
the autograder code, we will refer your group to the Office of Student
Conduct and you will receive an F grade for the class.
If you have already looked at the test cases, please contact your TA
as soon as possible.
We will provide directions, within the next couple of days, for deleting
the autograder code and replacing the development code.
