Mid-Project Status Report Guidelines:

This is intended to give you an idea of what is expected for the in-class oral project status report.

Your class presentation should be a progress report.  In your proposal you laid out a plan of attack and now we are interested in knowing how the project is progressing.  Start your report with a quick reminder of the objective of your project, followed by a description of what you have accomplished along those lines.  You should finish up with a description of what's left to do and how you intend to do it.

As you describe what you have accomplished, present enough details of your results to keep things interesting, but remember to keep the whole presentation to 15 minutes.

If some aspect of the project idea hasn’t worked out as expected or you have had other difficulties, please explain them.  Also, if any new opportunities have presented themselves along the way, let us know (presumably, you haven’t allowed yourself to be side-tracked, but its interesting to note new ideas that come up).

Part of the point of the report is to get feedback from the class that might give you ideas about how to move forward more efficiently, so plan accordingly.
