/============\ | Homework 0 | \============/ Name: Andrew Luo Login: cs61c-tb E-mail: andrewluo_cs61c@outlook.com Mini-Biography: ============== --> Where did you grow up? What was your academic path? (e.g. Did you live in the same town all your life or did you move around; and if so, where? Did you go to community college or another school before this one?) I've lived in Virginia since the beginning of primary school. I ended up finishing high school 2 years early and then coming here to Berkeley in 2013. I just finished my first year here as an EECS major. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I started programming C/C++ in elementary school in Visual Studio 2005 (I remember it just came out when I started programming). My second language was x86 ASM (which I didn't really understand at the time - to me I knew it as the cryptic stuff that comes out of the compiler when you enable assembly listing generation). By the time I took my first programming class in high school, I already had significant experience with C/C++, C# and other .NET languages (ASP.NET, etc.), x86 ASM, and Java. At Berkeley, I learned Scheme (61AS) and MIPS ASM (61C). --> What are your hobbies? When I'm not spending my time programming, I enjoy playing chess, tennis, and occasionally board games or cards. I also like taking things apart and repairing things (laptops, computers, cell phones, electronics, cars, etc.). Whenever I get the chance to, I also like to travel, whether by driving (fun) or by plane. --> What are some of your talents and skills? I can take apart an put together electronics very quickly (laptop in like 3-5 minutes, cell phones and computers in less). I also am good with programming... --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) In 2012, I was a 3rd Prize winner in Computer Science at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. I've also met quite a few Nobel laureates (through ISEF events). --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) -TAing CS61C -My classes -My internship -Studying for the LSAT
