1) I was born in British Columbia, Canada but travelled to Seattle, WA at a very young age. I attended grade school in Washington and came straight to Berkeley right out of high school. 2) I first began programming in 6th grade when my dad gave me a copy of "Learning Perl" by Randal L. Schwartz and I've been hooked ever since. I quickly switched to learning ActionScript while developing simple flash games. Since then I've gained experience in a multitude of languages including JavaScript, Python, and Java and other technologies such as AngularJS, django, and SalesForce.com. 3) In addition to programming, I have a passion for bouldering and puzzle solving. 4) I have solved a Rubik's cube in 7.27 seconds and I average around 12 seconds overall. 5) I traveled to the Rubik's cube world championship in Las Vegas last summer and was able to meet and hang out with the fastest speedcubers from Australia, the Netherlands, and the rest of the world. 6) On top of my duties as a TA I will be taking a class at Berkeley and working with the Learning Design Group at the Lawrence Hall of Science to develop web applications to engage middle school students with interactive engineering problems.
