What was your academic path? (e.g. Did you live in the same town all your life or did you move around; and if so, where? Did you go to community college or another school before this one?) I moved from Tennessee to North Carolina to Michigan (elementary + middle school) and then to San Diego (high school). I entered UC Berkeley freshman year and have stayed here since. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I started programming senior year of high school in my AP Computer Science class. That makes it roughly 2.5 years since I first learned to program. Languages: Java, ~2.5 years Python, ~1.5 years C/C++, ~1 year --> What are your hobbies? Video games, running, watching anime, rubik's cube. --> What are some of your talents and skills? My fastest solve on a Rubik's cube is 17 seconds. I'm still very far from my teacher and freshman year roomate, who averages 10-12 seconds. --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) During my senior year of high school, my friend and I built a 4-bit ALU in Minecraft out of OR and NOT gates for our math class project. --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) I will be doing roughly 10 hours of research per week over the summer.
