About: Hello everyone! I'm a Junior double majoring in CS and Math and from Sunnyvale, CA. I took this class Fall of 2013 and really loved it. I'm looking forward to helping out with this course this semester. Some hobbies of mine include: solving random math puzzles, Settlers of Catan, soccer, and badminton.

About: I am a second-year undergraduate majoring in EECS and Applied Mathematics. Last semester, I was a reader for this class. My interests lie in Artificial Intelligence and its applications. I am researching in the Robot Learning Lab (RLL) under Professor Pieter Abbeel, where I am currently leading work on the lab's entry to the Amazon Picking Challenge. After graduating, I hope to continue my research while persuing a PhD. In my free time, I love listening to Hans Zimmer and reading sci-fi.

About: I'm a second-year undergrad double majoring in Operations Research and Management Science, and Computer Science. I am interested in statistical learning, data science, and especially their applications in quantitative finance and investment. I am doing research at Haas School of Business, applying computer science techniques to real-world markets. I was also a reader for CS 61B last semester. In my free time, I like playing magic tricks, enjoying music and movies, and finding new place to eat.

About: I'm a Senior undergrad in Berkeley EECS, and my focus lies in the crossroads of EE and CS. In particular, the fields I focus on are Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Optimization, Systems and Control, Signal Processing, and Communications. I plan to become a PhD, and then wreak havoc from there. I can juggle (up to 4 balls, but my main is the Chinese Yoyo), and I can speak 5 languages relatively fluently and play 5 instruments. My hobbies include watching absurd amounts of anime, playing video games, playing with interesting problems, playing music, playing with weapons (swords, sticks, guns), and spending as much time as possible on my darling girlfriend <3.

About: Hi! I am a fifth-year graduate student in computer science advised by Michael I. Jordan. My research area is machine learning, which lies at the very lively intersection of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Recently I have been working on designing a better approximation algorithm for certain intractable problems that arise from large probabilistic models. In my spare time, I like to read sci-fi books, go out in nature, and watch the sunset.

About: Chenyang is currently a 3rd year undergraduate studying Computer Science and Physics. He is also doing research with Ras Bodik on program synthesis. Besides Computer Science, he also loves beautiful ideas in mathematics and physics. At a more carefree age, Chenyang could solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube in 20 seconds, and devised his own method of solving the 4x4 cube.

About me: Hi, I'm Nathan! I'm a first year EECS major and I really enjoyed 70 and am excited to return and help out. I grew up in South Florida (a place that actually does consist of more than alligators, tourists, beaches, and old people). Since coming here, I've taken up rock climbing, because I like rocks and climbing on things (and it's awesome). Some other things I really enjoy are frisbee, puzzles, music and hiking. Some stranger things that get me unreasonably excited are bizarre polyhedra, Donkey Kong 64, and toucans! Anyway, thanks for reading this, have a good day!
