  10. Week of April 4th:
  11. My office hours on Thursday, 04/07/05 from 5:00 - 9:00 are cancelled. IF YOU REALLY NEED MY HELP, YOU CAN TRY TO CATCH ME TOMORROW (04/08/05, FRIDAY) FROM 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM in 111 CORY.
  12. Homework due this week is actually HW #9 on page 329 of the reader.

  13. Week of March 28th:
  14. I have decided to post my "lecture notes" from my office hours online. Check under Lecture Notes.
  15. Welcome back from Spring Break! Here is some important info about the rest of the semester:

  16. Week of March 14th:
  17. I will be out of town from Thursday till this Sunday (03/20/05). Please DO NOT send me any email, it will simply be deleted. Wait till Monday (03/21/05).
  18. There is no HW due the week of March 14th.
  19. You don't have to turn in a prelab for the op-amp lab. The TAs will do a 45-minute intro. on op-amps, and I will obviously cover op-amps in lecture. You will be awarded the 4-points from the prelab depending on your wiring in lab, so make sure to do neat wiring.

  20. Week of March 7th:
  21. The EECS servers crashed over the weekend, EE100 webpage could not be accessed. It has been fixed as of Tuesday morning.
  22. I have posted links to the midterm review problem solutions on the HKN website. Check the Exams link for more information.

  23. Week of February 28th:
  24. It has come to my attention that some students cheated on HW #6 by obtaining a copy of the solutions. However, please turn in your homework as usual tomorrow. I don't want to penalize the students who worked so hard on this homework. We will come up with a fair solution to this problem.
  25. I have reserved 277 Cory from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm for my office hours on Thursday. I will NOT be in the Free Speech Cafe. If you come after 6:00 pm, wait till someone lets you into Cory.
  26. Lot of complaints about the difficulty of RC/RL homework. I will try to have a "lecture" instead of open office hours Thursday (03/03) to give hints on the problems. Hopefully, I will get a room (like 10 Evans) to accomodate everyone.
  27. Due to a lot of complaints about the pace of the class, I have made the following changes to the syllabus (you can download the new syllabus from the Handouts section of the webpage):

  28. Week of February 22nd:
  29. PLEASE RESPOND ON THE NEWSGROUP BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25th 2005 IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE MIDTERM TIME OF 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm on March 10th, 2005. If most of the class can make it, then I am shifting the midterm to this time.
  30. Homeworks will be returned in your lab section. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR NAME, SID AND LAB SECTION DAY/TIME ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE ON THE FRONT PAGE OF YOUR HOMEWORK. If you forget to write your name, your score will not be recorded unless you find your homework and bring it to Bart's office hours. IF YOU DO NOT WRITE THE ABOVE INFORMATION, WE WILL TAKE OFF 5 POINTS PER HW, STARTING WITH HW 5.
  31. Justin won't be able to make it to open office hours on Wednesday. He will be there on Tuesday.

  32. Week of February 07th:
  33. Homework 1 grades are now up. You can pick up graded homeworks in your lab section. Remember: if you have complaints about your grade, neatly write your complaint, staple it to your homework and put it back in the homework box so the reader can look at it. Also, your online grades have to be accurate only by the deadline reflected in your syllabus in the introductory course materials. Of course, we will try to keep the grades as up to date as we can. To get your grades fixed online, as your TA to email me lab grades. The reader(s) will update the grades on the spreadsheet and so I will correct them as soon as I can. Bottomline: Don't panic if I don't update the online grades immediately.
  34. I have changed my office hours from Sunday afternoon to Thursday evening, check the main webpage for location and times. We will decide on a location on Tuesday in class. The reason I changed the day is because the homework due date is Friday.
  35. Hints to homework 2, problem 4.29 are now available on the Homework page.

  36. Week of January 24th:
  37. We will cancel the Tuesday, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and Thursday, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM lab sections starting the week of January 31st because of low enrollment.
  38. By popular demand, I will have office hours over the weekend. It will be from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Sunday in the Brewed Awakening coffee shop on Euclid, a block from North Gate.
  39. All office hours are now moved to 197 Cory because of space constraints. 197 Cory is the first door to your right as you exit the 1st floor elevator(s).
  40. I have asked Copy Central to hurry up and produce more copies of the reader. They should have more in by Wednesday. You really don't need the reader for this week since lab 1 has no prelab (pretty much no reading ahead of time) and homework assignments are online in the syllabus handout.
  41. I had a family emergency over the weekend, so I could not update the webpage on time.

  42. Week of January 18th:
  43. Welcome to EE 100! Please keep checking the EE100 homepage periodically for important announcements, problem set solutions etc.
  44. There is a course reader which you should get from Copy Central on Hearst and Euclid (green dot on the map). Their policy is to sell course readers only after school starts, so please get it during the first week of classes.
  45. THERE IS NO LAB THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES. LABS FOR EE100 START ON Monday, January 24th 2005 (second week of the semester). Labs for EE100 will be held in 140 Cory hall
  46. Due to a problem in obtaining homework solutions, they will be available online only after the 3rd week of classes.
