11/25/05: Homework 11 has been posted. It is due Wednesday, December 7, at 2 PM.
11/24/05: In some versions of the textbook, the Initial and Final Value Theorems in Table 9.1 contain typos. (You might see an obvious error in the subscript of the limit.) Please check Table 9.1 against Equations 9.110 and 9.111 on page 690.
11/22/05: Exam 2 regrade requests must be submitted in writing to Prof. Gastpar. The deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 30, in class. We will regrade your entire exam.

11/12/05: There was a typo in the solution to Problem 2(b) on Homework 9 that has been corrected. The last term on the left side of the equation should be "+10Y(s)", not "-10Y(s)"
11/11/05: Solutions to Problems 2, 3, 4, and 5 from the sample exam have been posted. Also posted is an integral that should have been included with Problem 3.
11/10/05: Homework 9 solutions posted.
11/09/05: The Thursday (11/10) and Monday (11/14) sections will be office hours / open question-and-answer format -- both in room 293 Cory as usual. There is no section on Friday due to Veteran's Day.

11/07/05: In problem 9.23, for each of the four numbered statements, you should consider all four plots and give the ROC for each plot. The complete answer to the problem should contain 16 "sub-parts".
11/04/05: Exam 2 review session will be on Thursday, 11/10, at 7 - 9 PM in 60 Evans.

10/24/05: Homework 8 posted.
10/24/05: Homework 7 is due on Thursday (10/27) as usual. (There was a typo in the due date on the homework assignment.)
10/24/05: There are (at least) two errors in OWN 7.46. First, the filter H_r needs to have a passband gain of N, not 1. Second, the expression used for h_r[n] in the last line of page 576 is not the correct inverse DTFT. You should change the filter so that H_r(e^(jw)) = N in the passband, and then compute the correct h_r[n] before solving the problem.
10/21/05: On Monday, 10/24, we will vote on whether Exam 2 will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9 (in class), or on Monday, Nov. 14 (in class).

10/11/05: HW 5, Question 6. There is a problem in this question. The spectrum Xnotquite is real-valued, not complex-valued as the question states. Nevertheless, Xnotquite is still not quite what you would expect the spectrum of x(t) to look like. You should explain the reason for this, and explain why X is indeed what the spectrum of x(t) should look like. Turn in plots of x1, Xnotquite, x, and X.
