Function

Arguments: (&key verbose)

If data is not already being collected when this function is called, data collection is started. It is not an error to call this function while data is being collected. It is an error to call this function when the profiler has not been started (see start-profiler and with-profiling).

The verbose argument, if non-nil (default is nil), causes status messages to be printed to *standard-output* during the profile.

Sampling can be suspended with the stop-sampling.
