open-dialog

Arguments: items device stream &rest options &key pop-up

This function is obsolete. You should create dialogs with make-window with dialog (or some subclass of dialog) as the device argument. open-dialog exists for backward compatibility only.

open-dialog creates and returns a dialog. The arguments are interpreted as follows.

• items is a list of dialog item structures.
• device is a symbol specifying the device manager for the dialog. The manager dialog is usually available, but other devices may be appropriate to your machine.
• stream: must be a background stream or a window.

  If stream is a background stream, the dialog is created to be displayed on it. If it is opened in pop-up mode, then its position will be "culturally compatible" with the host machine unless overridden by one of the options.

• options are pairs of keys and values, treated the same as for open-stream. In particular, :font may be used to set the default font for dialog items. The options supported depend on the device manager.
• pop-up: if true, the dialog is opened in pop-up mode with state as :shrunk, otherwise it is opened in continuous mode with state as :normal.
