This variable is set to non-nil when the Run | CG Argument Checking menu-item is toggled on, and to nil when the menu-item is toggled off. When non-nil, each call to an exported non-generic Common Graphics function will check that the type of most arguments is valid. (Note that not all arguments are checked.) This variable may be set or bound programmatically as an alternative to using the menu command.
Toggling the argument checking on may be useful for finding bugs that are not otherwise obvious. Note that argument checking slows down some CG functionality significantly, though, so it is probably not desirable to leave CG argument checking on all the time.
