Final Project: Miniatures and Vertigo Marc WuDunn .

Miniatures: Feature Line and Blurring The first project I did was fake miniatures. The first step entailed selecting a feature line, which corresponded to a particular depth in the image. I simply chose a point, and then increasingly blurred the heights above it. Finally, I added some color enhancements to make it look more 'fake'.

The countryside was not a good picture, in my opinion, because the image itself was already very saturated with color, and which makes the blurring and recoloring look over-saturated rather than miniaturized.

Vertigo For the vertigo project, I took pictures of an image at zoom level ~10x and first moved the camera away from the object, as can be seen below (including a gif at the end). This zoom level in conjuction with the movement change makes the gap behind the objects look like it is slowly increasing as the camera is moved further back.

Vertigo Bells & Whistles Next I moved the focal image with respect to the camera, which created a cool effect that almost looks like the viewer is moving towards the object.
