Fake Miniatures
To create fake miniatures, I have the user click in 2 points on the same horizontal plane that they want to keep in focus. Then I gradually blur out more and more of the photo from those 2 points.

To get the vertigo effect, I basically had to move my camera out and zooming in, and trying to keep the subject of my photo the same size in every single shot. I accomplished this by using my iPhone X, which has a 2x optical zoom. I turned on the grid mode of my camera and made sure that the subjects were always the same size in each shot by using the gridlines.
There was one big problem of trying to keep things the same size. It was really hard keeping the camera level and zooming in only a little bit each time.
