Final Project I See The Light

Vertigo Shots
I took the following photos on my Nikon D3300 with a 18-200mm lens. I basically found 2 spots in my apartment with sufficient lighting and an extensible background to make the dolly zoom most apparent. I used the camera grid while taking pictures to align the subject, starting up close to the subject with my lens at 18mm and moving further and further away with each frame while adjusting the zoom so that the subject remained in the same position in each frame, thus achieving the dolly zoom.

Fake Miniatures
To implement the tilt shift effect, I first used `ginput` to select a point on the original image that would form the basis of my focus line. Everything on the same horizontal plus a couple pixels above and below this line remained in focus for the image. I then applied a Gaussian blur to the rest of the image, increasing in intensity the farther away from the focus line.
Here two photos I found online that I miniaturized.
