XRP reading assignment
This page lists the XRP Consensus papers. The original XRP consensus protocol of Schwartz et al. was found to have some flaws, and amended later in the Cobalt protocol of MacBrough. Since MacBrough's paper is very dense and long, we are assigning for this lecture the original XRP consensus protocol of Schwartz et al., which still captures many of the insights of the current XRP protocol and is much more readable. As optional reading, you can find here an analysis of the original protocol and where it falls short as well as the newer Cobalt protocol.
