Hello! My name is Alex Schedel and this is my 8th time teaching 61B! I have been teaching this class so long that I used to teach it in person and I am really looking forward to getting to do that again. I am a double major in both Film and Computer Science, so if you want me to inform you as to exactly why Stalker is probably the greatest film of all time and why the Dark Knight is as overrated watching the ball drop on New Years Eve all you have to do is ask.

In my free time I like to knit, blow a lot of money on thai food, and curate really specific playlists! Hi everyone! I'm a senior majoring in computer science and linguistics. I love everything to do with language - how it's formed, how it's structured, the list goes on. Currently, I do research on natural language processing (think Siri or Google Translate) on low-resource languages and non-standard dialects. When I'm not working, I like to play animal crossing, bake cakes, and explore new restaurants.
