Name: Xinghua Dou E-mail: xinghuadou@berkeley.edu Mini-Biography: ============== --> Where did you grow up? What was your academic path? I was born in China, and moved to the US when I was 4. I've lived in Pennslyvania and Washington, but settled in Houston for my middle and high school days. Now I'm a 3rd year EECS major at Berkeley. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? My first experience programming was with my AP Computer Science course in high school. I've completed the 61 series at Berkeley so I know Python/Java/C/MIPS. I also did a lot of work with Javascript at my internship. --> What are your hobbies? What are some of your talents and skills? I mainly play video games and read in my spare time. I've been getting into rhythm games lately, though I'm hopelessly bad at them. I also spend a lot of money on consumer electronics which is bad for my bank account. As for talents and skills, I don't really have any fancy party tricks to show off. I used to translate comics. I guess that's a skill? --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? I bought some bitcoins during the early stages of the cryptocurrency boom. I eventually sold them off for around $400. If I sold them at my peak price I would have $100,000 in my bank account! --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? 61C, remote internship, finishing my degree requirements, applying for jobs. The usual stuff. I also have a few personal projects that I've been meaning to work on. Hopefully I have enough free time to finish those.
