Mini-Biography: ============== --> Where did you grow up? What was your academic path? (e.g. Did you live in the same town all your life or did you move around; and if so, where? Did you go to community college or another school before this one?) I grew up in Westminster, California which is located in Orange County. I’ve lived in the same house all my life in the heart of Little Saigon. I went to Fountain Valley High School which is in, surprise, Fountain Valley. I’m currently a third year doubling in Computer and Cognitive Science. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I had no programming experience whatsoever when I came to Berkeley. I chose this major because it was better than all the others. (aka English, History, any type of Biology, etc.) Just kidding, I had a huge interest in math but didn’t want to become a math major. I’ve only used languages that we’ve learned in the 61 series. --> What are your hobbies? I like to play tetris!!!! Please hit me up if you want to battle :) I also love to read and play board games. I’d really love to visit the board game cafe in Berkeley. One of my other favorite past times is vegetating on the couch to watch TV. --> What are some of your talents and skills? My talent is being remarkably untalented. I can also play a mean game of Racing Demons (which is a multi-player version of the card game Canfield if you took 61B with Hilfinger last fall!). --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) I’m fortunate to be a part of an organization that lets me go to visit a middle school each week, where I facilitate workshops with other Berkeley students. It’s nothing too amazing in comparison to what other people have done, but I think being able to interact with kids is something so invaluable and watching them grow and mature is incredible. I learn so much from them and every moment is memorable. (lol cheesy I know. I love kids and actually wanted to become a pediatrician but after taking AP Bio in high school, I realized it was not for me so this is a good outlet). --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) I’m planning on only taking fifteen units this semester, but I’m going to continue the mentorship I mentioned in the question above. I think I’m also going to be doing CSM for 61A again.
