WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR PATH TO CAL? I grew up and lived for 18 years in the same house in Orange County, CA. I was homeschooled until I came to Cal, and thus I was able to take (programming) classes at the local junior college during high school. HOW MUCH PROGRAMMING HAVE YOU DONE (& WHAT LANGUAGES) I learned C++, Java, and x86 assembly before coming to Cal. While here, I've picked up C, MIPS, Scheme, Python, a little Ruby, some SQL and done some work in TCL/TK. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES Here's the list in no particular order: paintballing, snowboarding, backpacking, photography, computer games, and board games. I just wish I had more time to pursue them! WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR TALENTS & SKILLS I am extremely good at messing up basic arithmetic operations. I am also pretty decent at debugging. HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING REMARKABLE? HAS ANYTHING MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU? Nothing too amazing, but I did really enjoy being the best man in my brother's wedding. WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS SEMESTER? Other than being a TA, I'm an officer in an EECS student group. I'm also taking CS161 and CS172, both of which look very intriguing.
