We created this mini-bio so we may get to know each other a little better. The staff will answer them too, so how about you? This will be kept confidential amongst the staff, but you don't have to fill in anything you don't wish to. --> Where did you grow up? What was your academic path? (e.g. Did you live in the same town all your life or did you move around; and if so, where? Did you go to community college or another school before this one?) I grew up in San Francisco and went to Lowell High School before Cal. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I started programming in a computer science course in my third year in high school. I learned C++ for a semester and then Java. At Berkeley, I learned Scheme from CS61A, C from CS61C, some Python from CS188, and some Matlab in CS280. I did more C++ and Java in CS184 and CS162. I also picked up PHP and Javascript at an internship. --> What are your hobbies? I used to play Chess, Go, ping pong, badminton, and some video games. Now, on my free time, I play some Pokemon online, SC2, and board games with friends. I'm also watching TV shows like HIMYM, BBT, and Person of Interest. --> What are some of your talents and skills? Managing time. Getting enough sleep. --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) I happened to be sightseeing in LA two years ago during The Green Hornet's premiere. I saw some of famous actors there like Jay Chou and Cameron Diaz. --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) Other than TAing, I will be taking classes, doing research, and looking for a job.
