Green Sheet Corrections: There are FOUR errors on the green sheet:
  • On the side that says 'Core Instruction Set', lb, lbu, lhu, lw do not have opcode of 0. Their actual opcode is in the 'funct' portion.
  • For the branch instructions, the BranchAddr value should be multiplied by 4 (or shifted left by 2)
  • The return register (ra) is NOT preserved across the call (the green sheet incorrectly says it is preserved across the call).
  • On the side that says 'Core Instruction Set', the shift instructions (sll, srl, sra), rt is the register that is modified, not rs. For example, sll $2, $3, 4 will have rs = 0 and rt = 3.

Welcome to CS61c -- Summer 2006. Our first day of class is Monday, June 26. We will be holding the first round of discussion sections Monday as well. Your course staff is looking forward to a great semester and to meeting you all. On this page you'll find the tenative course schedule along with other important information. Official office hours will be announced shortly, but Andy will hold a quasi-office hour immediately following Monday's lecture to answer any questions you may have about the course.
