FINAL EXAM
- Final is scheduled for Friday, August 15th 2008 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Locations: 277 Cory {Last names starting with A through K (inclusive)}
and 10 Evans {Last names starting with L through Z (inclusive)} Notice room assignment based on
last name are different from the midterm!
If you are in the DSP program, you will be contacted ONE WEEK in advance for alternate arrangements.
- Material: Cumulative. A few more specifics:
- Topics NOT on the final: second-order bode plots, semiconductor physics, PMOS transistors.
- NMOS transistor: you will be responsible only for understanding digital on/off functionality of the transistor.i.e..if the transistor is OFF,
its an open circuit, if it is ON it can be modeled by a small ON-resistance (value will be given in the problem).
- Cheat sheet: FOUR 8.5 x 11 inch sheets (a total of EIGHT PAGES), both sides, any font size/type.
- Calculator is allowed.
- Cooperation during test: NO
- You don't need a bluebook.
- TA Review session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13th 2008 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in 277 Cory
- As for review problems, look through your course reader. Coupled with your homework problems and book problems, that is more than enough.
- Here is the original final that I prepared, the new final is probably easier than this one.
- Miscellaneous:
- I am planning to write a 1-hour test, although I will give you 2-hours to do it. Me and the TAs should be able to finish the test in 30 minutes. You can solve the problems without a calculator, although I do allow you to use one.
- Since the material is cumulative, the test may be difficult.
- PLEASE DO NOT MEMORIZE PROBLEMS WHEN PREPARING FOR THE TEST! That will NOT help you on the test, trust me!
- DO NOT PULL AN ALL NIGHTER ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 14th 2008 TO STUDY FOR THIS TEST!.
