1. Lab 4 grading.
2. Lab 5 reading materials.
3. Did you submit every report?
1. Lab 4 grading.
After considering the whole situation, Prof. Kahn
and
I decided that there would not be a wholesale
point
deduction like 25% off. However, I might
grade with
a little harsher standard over the parts in your
report
that I subjectively determine to be likely a
result of
mass collaboration. (So instead of taking
one point
away, I might take two.) Your original
works will not
be penalized.
I will check the reservation records to decide
who
owned the data set, and those would not be penalized.
2. I made five reference readings this Monday
for lab 5.
From the fact that I only made five, you should
have
been able to figure out that those readings are
meant to
be kept in the lab! Anyway. I made
another round
of five copies.
I know that the theory of feedback will not be
covered
in class. I will hold my usual office hour
to
help you both the theory and the experimentation.
W 5-6,
Th 2-330, 430-6,
and F 2-3.
(I am perplexed about the turn out of the Thursday
office hour. It is the most requested,
but
usually there are few people.)
3. Did you submit every report?
I will post a sheet that displays SIDs and report
scores
for lab 1,2,3,4,and 6. Please check if
there is any
mistake.
Note that the outcome of missing report is very
detrimental. Basically, if you put in enough
effort, and
turn in every lab report, it is very unlikely
that
you would ever get a punitive grade (such as
B-).
However, if you didn't turn in all the reports,
your final grade will be, oh well.
