These are Acrobat files of the problem sets that were handed out in lecture. Solutions are only handed out in class.

  • Problem Set 1 (8/24, 9/2)
  • Problem Set 2 (8/31, 9/9) Note that the statement of problem 1.26 in the book is wrong; the result should have a minus sign.
  • Problem Set 3 (9/9, 9/16) Note that in Figure 2.3, in the graph of f[n], the top half of the y axis should be labeled with 2 and 4. Also, in Figure P2.9c, the output should be y(t).
  • Problem Set 4 (9/14, 9/23) Note that in Problem 2.18c, the difference equation should read:
    y[n] - (1/4)y[n-1] -(1/8)y[n-2] = x[n] + x[n-1]
