Matlab licenses are purchased by the UC Berkeley software group using funds contributed by several campus units, including EECS.

Individual ("stand-alone") licenses are available to all members of the UCB campus from Software Central.

Networked ("floating") licenses are also available for use on campus lab and clustered computers.
