The UC Berkeley Undergraduate Graphics Group (UCBUGG) was founded by Dr. Dan Garcia in the Fall of 2001 with the intent of bringing together the best undergraduate computer graphic talent on campus. Members work individually and in teams on a variety of projects ranging from fractal animation to procedural geometry to the creation of compelling graphic designs, images and animations. The group has received notoriety for its logo design for Berkeley-Stanford day and its acclaimed two-minute short film "The Play 3D". In only two years we have grown from ten to thirty students and we have graduated two students who now work for Pixar, Inc.
