CS152/252A Midterm 2 Logistics

Midterm 2 is Thursday, April 11, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

For CS152, the exam is in North Gate 105.

For CS252A, the exam is in Cory 299.

The DSP Exam will be held in Giannini Hall 332 and Social Sciences 129. DSP students with exam accommodations have been emailed. Please make a private Ed post if you were anticipating DSP exam accommodations but have not received an email from us.

Please arrive by 11 am.

If you have an extenuating circumstance preventing you from taking the exam, please make a private Ed post as soon as possible.

Scope

Lectures 11 (Virtual Memory) through 20 (GPUs), inclusive, are in scope for the exam.

Cheat Sheets

  • You may bring 1 (one) two-sided cheat sheet for the exam.
  • Cheat sheets must be handwritten or typed. Handwritten tablet notes and typed notes may be printed and used. You may not use a cheat sheet on an electronic device (phone, tablet, or otherwise) during the exam.
  • No magnifying instruments are allowed :)
  • Clarification: It is okay to copy and paste parts of lecture/discussion/review slides, as long as you don’t print entire slides on your cheatsheet.
  • Clarification: Cheat sheets should be US Letter Size (8.5in x 11in).

Provided Resources

If necessary to solve a problem on the exam, Handout 1 will be provided.

Preparation

The best way to study for the midterm is to work through practice problems, viewable on the resources page. Please use the associated Ed threads to ask questions about past exams.

252A students

In addition to the 152 exam questions, 252a students will have a few additional 252a-only questions. Examples of 252a-only questions can be found on past exams. 152 problem sets can be useful for reviewing specific concepts you may be unfamiliar with.
