Hi! I’m a rising fourth-year PhD student in EECS advised by Dan Klein. My research lies at the intersection of natural language processing and AI ethics, with a focus on preventing societal harms of language models. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trivia, and trying to learn too many languages at once.
Evgeny Pobachienko he/him
Hi, this is my 8th time on staff for this course, but I’m excited to be a lecturer for the first time this term! I got my CS BS and MS at UC Berkeley, and was in the Bay Area prior to that as well. I really enjoyed CS 188, especially the fun projects, and I’m excited to be teaching it again. Besides CS, I like going on longish runs, hiking, and playing video games (recently Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3). I look forward to meeting you!

Nice to meet you! I’m a rising senior in CS. I really love art, videogames, Pokemon, and cats. I know a lot about ML, especially as it relates to safety and ethics. I have since changed my focus and now most of my current work and research revolves around CS education. I am happy to talk to you about any of the topics I know a lot about, academic or otherwise.

Hi, I’m Jerry and I’m excited to TA CS 188 this summer. I graduated from UC Berkeley in CS and Environmental Science. I think this class teaches you a lot and is a wonderful introduction to a lot of upper division classes. Outside of work, I like to play board games, cards, and bike. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hey! I’m Lauren, a senior from the South Bay Area majoring in data science. CS 188 is awesome and I had a fun time taking it, so I’m absolutely thrilled to share the love with everybody, this time as part of course staff. Outside of 188, you can catch me going on runs, playing piano, reading, or writing. I’m a big Muse fan and am super into learning languages (one of the languages currently on my bucket list is Sindarin).
