It is important that you read relevant the chapters in Oppenheim and Wilskly ( O&W) as we go through the course. You will have an easier time understanding the lectures if you read the relevant chapters ahead of each lecture.

In the later part of the course we will be following chapters from this book:

Assignment Cheating Policy

  • In the case that there is a confirmed cheating incdient on a homework or a lab, an automatic zero will be given on that particular assigment.
  • If there is a second incident of academic dishonesty, then there will be a zero applied to the entire assignment category. For example, a second offense on a homework will result in your entire homework grade being set to zero.

Communications

  • All official course communications will happen via Piazza and bCourses. We will strive to keep this website as up-to-date of a resource as possible, but there may be some delays between official announcements and website updates.
  • Direct any administrative concerns that can’t be resolved on Piazza to Prof. Avideh Zakhor and Daniel.

Assignments and Exams

Exams

  • There will be one in-class midterm and a final exam.
  • The midterm will be on Monday October 18th at 7pm in 145 Dwinelle Hall.
  • The final will be on Monday December 13th at 8am.
  • DSP exam details will be released closer to each exam.
  • Past exams are publicly available on TBP and HKN’s sites. We’ll also be posting some quizzes and midterms from recent EE 120 offerings on the website closer to the exams.

Homeworks and Labs

Due Dates

  1. Homeworks are usually due on Fridays at 11:59pm. Due dates will always be shown clearly on the homework. Solutions will be out the day after.
  2. Labs are usually due on Mondays at 11:59pm.

Submission Details

  • All homework and labs will be submitted via Gradescope.
  • Homework should either be printed out and scanned or handwritten using a tablet.
  • If you have access to neither a printer nor a tablet, then you may use notebook paper and scan your work.
  • You may collaborate with others, but all submitted work MUST be your own. State who your collaborators are.
