Hey everyone! I'm a fourth-year CS major from San Jose, CA. I'm really interested in applications of EE/CS to neuroscience, medicine, and healthcare. I previously worked on brain-machine interfaces research and currently help write educational tools for teaching neuroanatomy. In my free time, I help out with CSM, work on my baking skills, and listen to indie/alt/postrock. We live in very strange times — I don't know what this semester will look like, but I hope I can help make it better (!) and convince you to take other EE/EECS courses in the future :)

Hi, I'm Ali! I'm a third year studying EECS, and this is my fourth semester working in the 16 series. I love the application-based approach 16A and 16B take to learning about circuits, and I hope you do too. Outside of EE, talk to me about sketching, the best views in the bay, or your favorite candle scents.

Hey there! I'm a third-year (already?!) EECS major born and raised in the Bay Area. Right now, I'm fascinated by the intersection between low-level architecture and high-level (often mathematical) applications, like graphics; but, I still have a lot to learn and discover. If you ever want to talk about anything whatsoever, feel free to reach out, and I could even share some of my ...interesting... CalDining stories. Looking forward to a fantastic semester ahead!

Hi y'all! I'm a 5th year's master's student working under Professor Gireeja Ranade. My research interests are in control theory and machine learning. I am very curious about how to interpret learned rules, how learned rules evolve, and how they depend on data. I enjoy reading fanfiction, graphic design, wikipedia diving, learning and teaching, and I also occasionally make jewelry. Feel free to email me about the course or research! I graduated as a transfer student here so if you have specific questions in that area I can also try to address them as well.

I love trying new food. I often check news in the poster wall in the Sather Gate and the Mofitt Library. In my opinion, my hometown Seoul is the coolest place. Lots of food to enjoy, and also safe at night even if you are outside. I like the transport layer because it is where the most of the algorithmic developments in internet are happening, and testing a new algorithm is usually free while testing new hardware can be expensive.

I'm Mike Danielczuk, and I’m a fifth-year PhD student advised by Professor Ken Goldberg of the UC Berkeley AUTOlab. My work focuses on robotic perception and manipulation, ranging from instance segmentation to area contact modeling and robotic pushing to increase grasp success. Specifically, I am very interested in how we can use simulation to generate large datasets for deep learning methods, thus avoiding expensive hand-labeling. I received my BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. Outside of research, I also enjoy running and hiking in the many beautiful California parks around the Berkeley area, and I am an avid New England sports fan.
