Hello EECS STUDENT,

To purchase additional pages:

 1)  Do you authorize EECS Instruction to bill you $12 (non-refundable) for an additional 200 pages?   yes, bill me
 2)  Which account should we credit the pages to?
 3)  Confirm your choices   (or clear them):

Please see http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/connecting.html for information about transferring files between your accounts.

About the EECS Instructional printer page quotas:

  1. Free quotas are computed at 50 pages per credit for each course that the account is for.   (Examples:   If you have a 'class' account for a 4-credit class, that account gets 200 free pages this semester.   If you have a 'named' account for 2 3-credit classes, that account gets 300 free pages this semester.)
  2. Undergraduates and graduates in EE and CS majors are given an additional 50 pages per semester on their 'named' accounts.
  3. Double-sided printing counts as 1 page.
  4. Page quotas cannot be transferred amongst your accounts (because add/drops would complicate the accounting).
  5. Page quotas (free and purchased) are reset at the end of each semester (in May, August, December).
  6. Our purpose is to control our former open-ended printing costs (not to make money).   We may have to reduce the free pages in future semesters to reduce our printing costs.
Please see our http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/notices page for the initial announcement of this policy in Spring 2004.
