Architecture
We trained a ResNet18 model modified with the following code using AdamW with learning rate = 5e-4, weight_decay = 1e-4 and MSE loss for 10 epoches.
large_model = models.resnet18(pretrained=True)
large_model.conv1 = nn.Conv2d(1, 64, kernel_size=(7, 7), stride=(2, 2), padding=(3, 3), bias=False)
large_model.fc = nn.Linear(in_features=512, out_features=136, bias=True)

Training and Validation Loss
The model received a score of 11.28510 from the Kaggle competition.
Results from Test Set
Here are some outputs of the model from the unlabeled test set.
Results from Custom Images
We tried labeling a few custom images with the model. We noticed that we need to crop into the face when creating the inputs in order for the model to output decent keypoints, which is likely due to the particular data distribution in our training set. The results are largely consistent, but our model is clearly biased towards longer chins as seen in the cases of Carol and Sahai.
