Domineering
The Board
Domineering is often played on an N-row, N-column board. The board is empty at the start of the game.
The Pieces
One player uses vertical dominoes and the other uses horizontal dominoes. The player using vertical dominoes can cover any two vertically adjacent cells of the board with a domino. The player using horizontal dominoes can cover any two horizontally adjacent cells of the board with a domino.
Rules
Each turn, a player places a single domino onto the board. Each domino placed (1) cannot extend beyond the board's boundaries and (2) cannot overlap or cover a cell that is already occupied by another domino.
A player loses if they cannot legally place a domino on their turn.
